Fall Maple Moments From Desserts to Tabletop Style
Oct 13, 2026

‘Tis the season of all things pumpkin and apple. Those favors always dominate the Fall season. I got my eye of some other flavors this season and I’m going to “mix-it-up” a bit more with them. Every year, I make the same Dutch Apple Pie, which is a combination of three recipes that I have combined and “tweaked” over the years. It’s deep dish and I LOVE it. I already professed by love for cranberries by asking apples to move over and give cranberries some love. But, I think I will add maple to the mix a bit more this year.
I first saw a Maple Cream Pie on the Food Network’s The Kitchen Show. I was intrigued. So, like I did with the apple pie, I did a hybrid of all the recipes I liked. Here they are! I liked the lightness of some, the crust of some, the garnishes of some ~ so I made them all in one. ALSO, what I did (& often do) is to make them into individual dessert cups. The change I made to doing them in dessert cups is a super simple, graham cracker crust bottom instead of pie dough. Just graham crackers, sugar and butter pressed into bottom of cups and then the pie recipe. You can also use your glassware to make beautiful, individual desserts.

Another addition I would make is to add maple soaked pancakes to any/all of these. Yes! Even Camille’s Maple Bourbon Punch! It's fun to add a little scoop of sherbet to champagne or prosecco ~ why not ice to punch!
Adding to the maple theme ~ style with maple leaves. These maple leaf appetizer plates are beautiful. You have to visit Josh Pugh, the artist and creator of the collection. So many beautiful pieces and great inspiration to style with maple leaves. One of the keys to styling beautiful tabletops is to create a focal point and star. You can do that will maple leaves.
