The life of Lifestyle Photo Stylist is all about the sourcing, shopping, researching and sourcing for brand photo shoot campaigns, website, catalogs and magazines ~ so we always have our eye on what's new and fresh in the lifestyle market. These are some of the things I came across this week that caught my eye, loved and purchased!  We share these in our Love Lately feature every week.


HARITHAND TRUNK SHOW

I LOVE a trunk show.  You have the opportunity to see designs before they are available. (& with a trunk show, their is a possibility that it will not hit the stores, so you have the opportunity to have a very limited design and piece.  I have my eye on this Harithand scoop double suit in the Moda Operandi Trunk Show.  Beautiful silhouette and button detail.

You have to be quick with a Trunk Show!  For example as of this post date, this trunk show will run 5 more days.  And because it is the Fall/Winter,  it has a ship window of August 4 to December 8.  So, you have to be quick and then patient. Check out their current Trunk Shows.

MAEVE POLLINATOR CORSET TOP

Came across this Maeve pollinator corset top as we were doing our Creative Brief with butterfly direction.  While this is not butterfly ~ it’s “bee”, it’s got the vibe, right?!?  I do love that a corset top can be multi-season.  When the Fall weather arrives, I will wear with a long sleeve top.  (I usually go with a sheer button down “puff sleeve” shirt and leave button open.) 

RASPBERRY CERAMIC BUTTER DISH

Look at this cutie!  Talking this week about bread with Summer Recipes Made With Bread You Should Make on Repeat, so naturally I came across this raspberry butter dish. I normally don’t display butter, but this dish may change my mind.  I might even style it up and make a raspberry compound butter to put in it!  (It’s so easy, just use your favorite stick butter, soften slightly, add fresh raspberries (puree with fork first) and then roll and place in parchment paper and refrigerate)  Maybe I’ll even add a little herbs, like basil. You can also get this at Feather and Larch.   Love collecting unique items like this for my food styling prop collection.

ROSEWATER SALT SOAK

As a Photo Stylist with my job being “bringing on the pretty”~ I can’t help myself ~ I’m drawn completely to beautiful packaging.  I was first drawn to the beautiful branding to Make Me Blush Bath Soak, but it also has to “work”, right?!  Well . . . I’m givin’ it a try!.  Who doesn’t love a decadent bath soak?  One of my great pleasures in life is trips to Canyon Ranch.  A spa day is such a wonderful thing. The Rosewater Salt Soak and the Honey The Moon Salt Soak look good too.

LOVIN MY WALLS!

I’m always teaching for wall covering for photo shoots. Sometimes it’s an entire room and sometimes it’s just a very small area as a “facade” to it being a wall.  I search for brands that has tons of choices, great quality and lots of options to do a wall:  paint, mural, wallpaper, curtains.  Graham and Brown has it all! AND another really important part for me is quick and easy navigation.  They have that too. (& tips and techniques on how to best apply the wall option you choice)  Easy-breezy one stop shop. Gotta love that.  To bring it a bit of whimsy, you can do a small space with wallpaper.  It really adds personality.
