Lifestyle Home, Food and Fashion Finds Floral Edit

May 02, 2026

Loving all the blooms in each category of the lifestyle market!  From home, food and fashion, when styling, I always add life ~ whether it's greens, branches, blooms, flowers.  Here are some florals that are inspiring me lately for upcoming photo styling assignments ~ & for me! ;)  While I know you can get florals year round, there is something special about picking them from the garden.  We have a short window of doing that here in the Northeast. We share some of our purchasing vases tips in Home Stylist Trade Secrets To Selecting Vases and Vessels. (What we get that aren't really vases, to put flowers in.)

FARM RIO TRENCH COAT

A couple weeks ago we talked about Spring Trench Coats That Are Not Boring Beige. Don’t get us wrong ~ a creamy beige can be beautiful.  We are talking silhouette, details, fabric ~ not beige boring.  THIS Bromelia Trench Coat collaboration with Barbour fits the bill!  It’s definitely a floral statement.

Farm Rio’s motto is “dress in happiness”. Love that. They embody liveliness, nature inspired and culture rich lifestyle ~ with BIG, bold, beautiful fashion. Oftentimes with florals, fruits, patterns from the tropics.

GREEN MAGNOLIA WALLPAPER

While I tend to go for textured creamy, latte“ish” neutrals ~ I’m kinda really loving this bold, green magnolia wallpaper.  I like the green and freshness. I do like to make corners, vignettes, and smaller spaces in the home whimsical. I chat about it in How To Style Your Home In Whimsical Touches.  To do that, I would use this wallpaper for small statement wall or even use as liner in a drawer.  Always think creativity and add your personality to your home.

HERITAGE LINEN EMBROIDERED PILLOW

Love, love this tone on tone pillow! And the texture!  One of the easiest ways to add style and to refresh seasonally is pillows.  When you want to do florals, but really don’t want it to be super bold, a great technique is to go textured, tone on tone, embossed or pattern that has same color palette throughout.  This Heritage Embroidered Pillow fits that so well. We talked about this method in Animal Prints Don’t Have to Roar, They Can Whisper.   Animal print or floral print ~ it works in the same way. If you want a whisper of a floral print ~ use this style technique.

MASTERPIECE ARTWORK CAKES

Miri Nadler makes masterpiece cakes ~ literally.  They look like beautiful (delicious) paintings.  Miri said her inspiration started when she saw women in Asia use palette knives to decorate cakes.  She made a New Year’s resolution to figure out how to do the same ~ and she has.  I LOVE that we can get her cakes from Gold Belly.  Years ago when I went to New York, I had to try Magnolia Bakery cupcakes and famous banana pudding and stand in that looooonnngg line. (totally worth it.)  Now, we can get it at Gold Belly.  How great is that that we can get these great, delicious creations delivered to us?
